Awards
Our goal is to create an inclusive environment for a diverse group of young energy leaders to explore challenges and opportunities within the energy sectors. In alignment with these values, we will recognize organizations and individuals for their efforts and accomplishments in leadership, innovation, and empowerment.

Nominations will close on October 5th, 2018. Winners will receive free tickets to emPOWER and be recognized at at 4:45pm during our Awards Ceremony at the emPOWER Conference.
Organization Awards
Corporate Leader
The emPOWER Corporate Leader is a company who goes the extra MW to support their employees and other aspiring professionals in the clean energy space. The Corporate Leader shows their commitment to future clean energy leaders through their company mission, culture, and the opportunities they provide to emerging leaders.
Non-Profit Leader
The emPOWER Non-profit Leader is a 501(c)3 organization who is working toward a better future and equips future clean energy leaders with the tools they need to make a difference through their cause.
Innovation Leader
The emPOWER Innovative Leader is a start-up or company with an original business model who is breaking the mold of clean energy norms, especially in tackling workforce and diversity issues. The Innovative Leader thinks outside the box to incorporate social equity as part of tackling future clean energy challenges.
Government Leader
The emPOWER Government Leader is a federal, state, or municipal organization or department that is incorporating clean energy solutions for their jurisdiction. In the past year, the Government Leader set the bar for the public sector through cutting red tape, implementing incentives, or adopting innovative approaches to accelerate clean energy or energy efficiency deployment.
Individual Awards
Change-maker
The emPOWER change-maker ignites change by thinking creatively about approaches to clean energy challenges. This change-maker displays exceptional leadership skills and is an entrepreneur or rockstar within their organization, and stimulates the clean energy community through their innovative ideas, desire to see change, and vision for the future.
Motivator
Through their role as a mentor and positive role model, the emPOWER motivator inspires other clean energy leaders to make a difference. The emPOWER motivator has a contagious passion for a better future and want to bring as many leaders along with them as possible.

Rising Star
This emerging professional represents the Clean Energy Leadership Institute’s mission of building a next generation leaders to advance innovative clean energy solutions. The Rising Star is someone who is passionate about clean energy and is committed to building an industry that is forward-thinking, diverse, sustainable, and supports a low-carbon future.
Distinguished CELI Alumnus
This CELI Fellow leads by example in their professional life and elsewhere. The Fellow is an outstanding contributor to the CELI community and embodies the qualities of leadership, commitment, and thirst for learning. This CELI Fellow lifts their peers up and can always be counted on as a supportive figure within the community.
